In accordance with the general philosophy of CEE Insight, we pledge not only to respect your privacy, but to keep our privacy policy very simple.

Fact gathering and news reporting will be conducted under a mandate that encompasses only what lies within the public interest. Such activities are designed to investigate and report to the general public on what is admittedly subjectively designated as “news” by our editors.

Information that we might collect about you—unless you or your company’s activities are deemed “newsworthy”—may then be described as such: First, this could be information voluntarily submitted by you in the form of subscription information (gender, mailing address, credit card information, etc.), information submitted by other means (letters to the editor, contest information) or the like. Second, this could be automatically collected information for the purpose of statistical analysis (IP addresses, mobile phone or computer device identification).

This “non-news” information will not be shared with other persons or entities outside of necessary, business transactional needs—i.e. processing a subscription through a third-party engine such as PayPal. “Statistical information” will only be used to better our site in the form of targeting news stories and advertising to our relevant readership. All collected data is security protected, although no company can guarantee that such systems cannot be breached.
