Ukraine entirely closes ports in Crimea
Ukraine warned that those ship owners and captain of vessels who ignore the Cabinet’s ban on closing ports in Crimea may face fines and even imprisonment, the Ukrainian news portal TSN wrote July 7.
“The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a decree on closing ports for international shipping in Crimean cities of Yevpatoria, Kerch, Sevastopol, Feodosia and Yalta,” according to the press service of the State Inspection for safety at maritime and river transport.
As early as mid-May Ukraine informed the International Maritime Organization on the preparation of a decision to close the Crimean ports, the media wrote.
