Romanian intelligence service chief’s email hacked
A private email account belonging to Romania’s intelligence service (SRI) director, George Maior, was hacked by a mysterious hacker who calls himself Guccifer, the local media reported on Jan. 8.
“The hacker broke into the Yahoo email account of Romania’s chief intelligence [officer] George Maior,” Romanian internet news service, Romania-Insider, reported.
Guccifer first gained notoriety after exposing an alleged love affair between the former-U.S. State Secretary Colin Powell and presidential advisor, Corina Cretu.
The hacker has broken into a whole series of email accounts belonging to various government officials and famous personalities. Following this latest stunt SRI spokesperson, Sorin Sava, announced that all the possible legal measures will be taken to bring the hacker to justice.
