Update: daughter of Palestinian ambassador to Czech Republic claims her father was murdered
The daughter of the recently deceased Palestinian ambassador to the Czech Republic claims that her father’s death was not an accident, according to fresh media reports.
The local and international media announced that Ambassador Jamal-al Jamal sustained fatal injuries while trying to open a safe that had been closed for some 20-years. This version of events was rejected by the ambassador’s daughter who claims that the safe was in constant use by her father.
Palestinian authorities have also added that they were not aware of any explosive device being fitted to the safe.
Czech authorities who are investigating the incident, which occurred on New Year’s day, found unlicensed weapons at the ambassador’s residence. It is not clear whether there is a connection between Jamal-al Jamal’s death and the weapons found.
The investigation continues.
