Czech Republic to join Eurozone in 2020 – Sobotka
Czech Prime Minister Boguslav Sobotka discussed the Czech Republic’s intention to switch to the Euro in 2020 at a conference held in Prague on April 11, according to the Ukrainian business daily Business Information Network.
“Right now the Czech Republic is not ready to rapidly improve the economic situation, so likely around 2020 it could be the right time to adopt the common European currency,” the Czech Prime Minister pointed out.
“Joining the Eurozone in 2020 will help the Czech economy attract new investment, reduce transaction costs and create new jobs in future, it is a positive goal,” Sobotka said.
